For we are
all sinners and tend to look at other's sins and judge them, let us
look at what Jesus said to us. This judging is a human
element. We are constantly evaluating, measuring,
classifying,
etc. It is in our nature to store things in the
brain. So
we go about judging others. Even the American Indians had a
saying “Do not judge a man until you walk in his moccasins”.
As a
Christian, we are to be spiritual and above that.
So pray
“Heavenly Father, I ask for the presence of your Holy Spirit to know
and understand your message to me in my mind and in my heart that I may
do your will. Amen.”
Matthew
7:1-2 "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the
judgment
you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will
be measured to you.
Luke 6:
37-38 "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not,
and
you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken
together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure
you use it will be measured back to you."
What do these passages say to us:
Are you ready to be judged by your own standards?
Are you ready to be judged by God's standards?
Have you forgiven all those who have sinned against you?
Ready to forgive others before we pray for forgiveness
Ready to be merciful and generous as the Lord is to you
Thank you
Heavenly Father for all your gifts to your unworthy children.
Bless us and give us your peace and grace.
