Worry, worry, worry

We are always worried about something. Most of which we can do little or nothing about. Are you getting anywhere with this worrying? Here is a Peanuts comic strip. How does it fit you?

When we worry about something we take on God's job. Yes, God's job. If you don't believe me, then believe the Bible text Matthew 6:25-34 or in
Or in Matthew 11:28-30

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

28 Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30"For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

God wants us to come to Him and place all our worries with Him. That's His job. What you need to do is have enough faith and trust in Him to let Him do His job.

Sounds easy, but we all suffer with “I can do it by myself”. Can you? You don't seem to be doing very good so far. That why you have so many worries.

You can start changing that right now. First, start loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength. That will put God first in your life. Now you can begin the trust that He will take care of you.

I pray to our Heavenly Father to bring a sign to you so that you realize who is in charge. That you grow in love to the total trust in Him and that you enjoy the peace that only He can give. I ask this in the name of Jesus with firm assurance that you will do it. So be it. Amen.
